Despite its name, Swamp Milkweed (Asclepias incarnata) is a highly adaptable milkweed that can thrive in slightly dry areas. The typical setting its found in is along the wet edges of ponds and ditches. It's thin stature stands about 4' tall with rosy-red flowers positioned at the top. It stands out as both elegant and showy. Insects such as bees and butterflies enjoy its blooms. Including the monarch butterfly, who seem to prefer swamp milkweed for laying eggs over other milkweeds.
Live plants come in varying heights, with most being 4" or taller.
