Mission
My nursery cultivates locally sourced plants native to Southeastern Ohio and the surrounding region. The Appalachian landscape we call home is one of the most biodiverse regions in the United States. Dry ridgetops give way to mesic valleys, creating a variety of unique habitats in just a small area. I collect seed from different local biomes and cultivate plants close to home, keeping the whole cycle rooted in place. My goal is to provide affordable native plants for a wide range or projects.
Commitment
Every plant you find here is:
- Pesticide-free — grown without the use of harmful insecticides and herbicides.
- Sustainably grown — cultivated using locally sourced compost and sustainably harvested peat.
- Built to thrive — mycorrhizal fungi are added to each plant, increasing survivability once planted in the field.
- Locally sourced — plants started from locally collected seed when possible
